Oscar Makes it Home!

Shaughn went up in the attic and found the Port a Crib that we had saved from when Kirby was born.  Mom read up on owning Teacup Pigs.  One interesting fact I learned is that all pigs are born the approximate same size regardless if they are micro-pig or a big bacon sow!  Tons of people think they are getting a micro and find out months later that have a 200 lb pig or larger on their hands!  YIKES!  The kids did see the piggies mom and dad, so I think our chances are pretty good he will stay small.

He slept through the night from the beginning.

Oscar was born on May 30th, 2014, making him 11 days old when we got him. Pigs can be taken from their mom a day or so after they are born.  They will  learn drink from a bottle or bowl quickly. Oscar is drinking goat's milk.
He was already pottie trained.  The seller said they were working on it.  We they succeeded because he used his pottie bin right away.

He did nip at us pretty hard and squealed like crazy when we picked him up. Tim wasn't getting home till Sunday so had 6 days to whip him into shape. Taylor did didn't think we could keep it from Tim for six days.   I wasn't sure how this was going to work out. .
