The Name Game

We had decided on the name "Truffles" when we were in the pig plotting stages.  Here is an article on pigs and truffles.  By truffles we are not talking about chocolate but mushrooms.  Trust me, if it were chocolate everyone would own a pig!

Once the pig was here I wasn't sure about naming him Truffles anymore.  He just didn't look like a Truffle to me.  Some name options we came up with were BB(Q), Jimmy Dean, Plumpkin, Arnold and my favorite Bacon.  Taylor was set on  Notorious P.I.G, after a famous rapper.

But Taylor was determined to have this!  I don't think so.

I did some searching online for pigs name and ran across the name "Oscar".  This name seemed to fit him, plus "Oscar Mayer" is known for their bacon!  PERFECT!   I ran it by Christine and she loved it.    As I was telling Christine I really thought Oscar was the perfect name the electricity flickered on and off.  I took that as a sign that my mom loved the name.  She had always wanted a pig.  

So Oscar was named!
